President Trump’s hairstyle on Wednesday has set the internet ablaze with chatter, as fans praise and critics mock his appearance.

The commander-in-chief sported a seemingly brighter and fuller head of hair as he gave a speech in Las Vegas. During the speech at Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa, the president touted his administration’s economic policy and threw his support behind Republican candidates ahead of November’s midterm elections.

Trump also took an opportunity to take a swipe at Canada, dubbing the country’s leadership as “nasty.”

However, his appearance quickly went viral after his hair appeared to be thicker than it has previously.

“Is Trump rocking a wig, or what the hell is going on here?” one internet user asked, after posting: “Trump's hair, uh, has a lot more volume than normal.”

The Democrats’ official account on X even weighed in on the discussion, posting an image of Trump with a more slicked-back hairstyle.

“This was Trump's hair less than 3 months ago,” the account added.

Former GOP Representative Adam Kinzinger, who previously voted to impeach Trump, also commented on the president’s hair.

“Trump has a weave!!” he claimed.

The president’s supporters came to his defense online, though with one posting that they “do NOT care what anyone says.”

“This is proof that President Trump is aging in reverse,” the supporter wrote on X. “His hair looks absolutely amazing today.”

“Trump’s voluminous hair is triggering them,” another said.

Trump has often spoken about his hair in the past, admitting to a crowd at a CPAC conference in Maryland in 2018 that he had a bald spot.

“I try like hell to hide the bald spot, folks,” he said. “I work at it.”

However, while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2016, Trump poked fun at his distinctive hairstyle and allowed the show’s host to tussle his hair.

“The answer is yes,” he joked when Fallon asked if he could touch his hair, adding “but the people in New Hampshire where I’m about to be an hour from now - I hope they’re going to understand.”

During a 2015 rally in South Carolina, Trump invited a woman on stage to check if his hair was real or fake.

“I believe it is,” the woman said when asked if his hair was real.

“I don’t wear a toupee. It’s my hair, I swear,” Trump said.

The Independent has contacted the White House for comment.
