Celine Dion is putting the Grinch back in *How the Grinch Stole Christmas*!
The Canadian singer surprised fans with a festive video on Wednesday, wishing everyone a happy holiday by channeling the only other diva who knows how to bring some spice to the holidays: the Grinch.
Donning the iconic green paint, fur, and Santa suit of Whoville's favorite curmudgeon, Dion put her own spin on a classic scene from the 2000 live-action adaptation of the classic Dr. Seuss tale starring Jim Carrey and Taylor Momsen.
The video opens with Dion in full Grinch regalia seated by a fireplace. On her lap is a dog wearing a misshapen antler headband akin to the one Max, the Grinch's pet dog and best friend, wears in the film.
"The nerve of those Whos," she recites in the video, "inviting me on such short notice. Even if I wanted to go, my schedule wouldn't allow it." She then dumps her pup on the floor with a flourish.

"Four o'clock: exercise my voice. 4:30: wake my children up. 5: solve world hunger, tell no one," Dion continues. "5:30: Jazzercize. 6:30: dinner with me. I can't cancel that again! 7: wrestle with my creative ideas. I'm booked!"
She goes on, saying, "Of course if I bumped my creative ideas to 9, I'll still have time to lay in bed and scroll TikTok videos endlessly. Or I can just simply wish everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year."

The five-time Grammy winner ends the video by going back to her books and singing the chorus from her hit remake "All by Myself."
Dion captioned the post: "Silent night? Not on my watch..."
It's safe to assume that Dion went through a lot less stress getting into costume than Carrey did getting into his, which he revealed entailed layer upon layer of green makeup and prosthetics.
"I was having a lot of trouble with the Grinch suit, so they brought a guy in who actually teaches people how to handle torture, and he gave me a couple of tips," Carrey told * *in 2000. "You just forget [the pain],"
"Sitting around in that suit was not too fun," he added, "but performing in it was amazing. I can be as uncomfortable as I want, but when somebody says action, it's like going into another reality."**

The post is an incredible sight for the singer's fans, who have been supporting Dion after she was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome in 2022. She has made very few public appearances since her diagnosis, but Dion has kept her followers abreast of her journey. Last month she shared a heartfelt message for Thanksgiving, urging fans to take stock of their good fortune during the holidays.

"Dear friends, today is a beautiful reminder to slow down, take a deep breath, and give thanks," Dion said in the emotional clip, which she posted to Instagram.
"There's something so powerful about gathering with the people you love, whether around the full table, over the phone, or even just in your heart," she added. "I'm so thankful to my family and our moments together that mean the world to me. May your Thanksgiving be filled with joy, with peace, and with gratitude for everything, even the little things."**
