(WFRV) -- With many Wisconsinites lamenting the current cost of gas, among other economic woes, data from the AAA has shown just how much prices have increased in the past year.
According to AAA, the average price of gas in Wisconsin as of October 9, 2026, is $4.15. This time last year, it was $2.74.
The price gap is $1.41, a staggering difference for Wisconsinites.

Things aren't much better nationally: the average as of October 9, 2026, is $4.37, up from $3.11 at the same time last year, a $1.26 difference.
The noticeable gap in prices follows the average diesel price hitting a record high on September 22 at $6.61.
