HGTV starJasmine Rothgot candid about her issues with chronic pain.

Entertainment Now reported that Roth shared that a herniated disk in her neck caused her extreme discomfort in a January 27 Instagram upload. The post featured a video that showed the 41-year-old exercising with the accompanying text reading, "I never expected to recover."

In the caption of the post, she recalled waking up in excruciating pain on "Christmas morning" of 2022. A week later, she "was able to get in for an urgent MRI which confirmed that [she] had a herniated C5/C6 disk in [her] neck."

"At the time the pain was non-stop and I had no idea it would be my new normal for the next 1.5 years. I did every treatment short of surgery and lived at my PT’s office. After a lot of hard work, it was finally an injection of stem cells by my doctor that pushed me toward recovery," wrote Roth in the caption. "I also started seeing a functional medicine doctor to optimize my health and give my body the tools to heal. It was one of the hardest times of my life and I have so much more sympathy for those that are dealing with medical issues and chronic pain."

She then said that she feels grateful that she is able to exercise. "I share this because yesterday I was working out and I had a moment of deep gratitude. My body has come so far and yours can too. I know it’s hard but you have to believe in your body and trust the process," stated the HGTV personality in the caption.

Several Fans Shared Their Appreciation for Jasmine Roth's Post

Several fans flocked to the comments section to thank Roth for her January 27 Instagram post.

"You are giving me hope. I have the same thing. A bulging disk in my neck. The pain in my arm and clavicle is so extreme, sometimes I just cry. I can't believe you lived like this for a year and a half. I have a tonal gym also. Not sure if that's where I injured it or not. But your story gives me hope, that one day I will be out of pain too," wrote a commenter.

"Thank you for sharing. Gives me hope as I start a journey of exercise for my rheumatoid arthritis… constantly in pain!" shared a social media user.

"I can totally relate Jasmine. I have a bad back and I've gone through alot with it. Thanks for sharing your story," commented a different person.

Jasmine Roth Opened up About Her Long-Lasting Career as an HGTV Star

In an exclusive interview with Parade in November 2025, Roth discussed her long-lasting career as an HGTV star. Roth began working on the network when her first home renovation series, Hidden Potential, started airing in 2017. Roth currently stars on Help! I Wrecked My House, which ended its fifth season in late 2025.

While speaking to Parade, Roth expressed gratitude for the members of her crew who have worked beside her while she has filmed her HGTV shows.

“When I look back at all the years, the thing that really stands out is just how much of my success is contingent upon the people that have been there for me since day one and rallied behind me and surrounded me with support. And so building that team has been definitely a lifelong, memorable experience for me," said the mother of two to Parade.
