HGTV stars Ben and Erin Napier are revealing the one challenge about being co-stars on their renovation series, Home Town, while being married.

People magazine reported that the couple, who share two daughters, Helen, 8, and Mae, 4, shared their thoughts about being each other's castmates during a December 30 interview with Fox News.

"The only challenge is trying to surprise each other with something," said Ben to the publication.

Erin agreed with her husband, stating, "Yeah, it's real hard. We're together 24/7."

The interior designer also said she and Ben "have pretty much perfect communication with each other."

"We know everything; we have no secrets. Because you can't have a secret when you're with someone constantly," said Erin to FoxNews.

Ben and Erin did say that they have to put on a happy face while filming Home Town, which premiered in 2016, which can be a challenge.

"When you're on TV, and you're the face of it, you're not allowed to have a bad day," said Ben.

Ben & Erin Napier Have Been Married for 17 Years

The Napiers have been married for 17 years. Erin took to her Instagram on November 22, 2025, to honor her anniversary and share pictures from her wedding day.

In the caption of the post, Erin raved about her husband. According to Erin, Ben "delights in delighting," "is dripping with goodness, with LOVE," and manages to fix everything, including "Broken necklaces, Barbies, hearts."

"He picks the mood up, he tells the long story. He protects and treasures me so clearly I never, ever, wonder his intentions. My God has been so good to let us grow up together, to let me be positively ruined and spoiled by Ben Napier," continued Erin in the caption.

Erin made similar comments about her husband in a March 2025 interview with People. While sitting beside Ben, Erin said that her husband "always thinks about what would just delight" her and their daughters. She explained that her husband will make sure their family has the best experience possible, even if they are just having a dinner at home.

Ben also shared that what he loves "most" about Erin is her continued "imagination."

Home Town is currently in its 10th season.
