Ransone's wife honored her late husband with a message on Instagram on Sunday, Dec. 21.
"I told you I have loved you 1000 times before and I know I will love you again. You told me - I need to be more like you and you need to be more like me - and you were so right. Thank you for giving me the greatest gifts - you, Jack and Violet. We are forever,” she wrote.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to support McPhee and their children.
Channing Tatum also mourned the late actor, sharing a photo of himself posing with Ransone on his Instagram Stories from Tatum's 30th birthday in 2010.
The two actors costarred in the 2011 movie The Son of No One, which follows Tatum as a police officer in New York City in the early 2000s harboring a dark secret from his childhood.

Jack opened up about his grief journey on the first episode of his podcast, The Osbournes, which he shares with Sharon and his sister Kelly Osbourne.
“It is both horrible and beautiful in the way that it forces you to unpack and examine things. Like, yeah, it sucks that he's gone, but also, for me, it has led to a huge amount of gratitude and love and really cherishing moments that at the time you take for granted,” he said.
