**This article contains spoilers about *Love Is Blind* season 10, episodes 1-6.**

*Love Is Blind* season 10 is following more engaged couples than ever before. Seven engagements unfolded in the pods, and all seven of those couples embarked on a romantic getaway together (one couple got their own solo trip because the show couldn't afford to send them to Mexico with everyone else). But it turns out that there was one more engagement that wasn't shown onscreen.

*Love Is Blind *creator Chris Coelen exclusively tells * *that there was an eighth engagement producers chose not to continue filming after the pods. And their decision turned out to be for the best.

"We actually had eight couples get engaged, and followed seven of them," Coelen tells EW. "The eighth couple, who we did not follow, broke off their engagement the next day."

EW has confirmed that the eighth couple was Elissa Finley (the woman who went to the hospital at the end of the premiere after putting nail glue in her eye) and Miguel Josue Lopez.

"We got engaged. We did the reveal, and it was awesome," Elissa told Tudum. "Right away when we saw each other — it was chemistry, like I thought it would be."

However, according to Elissa, Miguel blindsided her immediately after their reveal by telling her that he planned to move from Ohio to Tampa, Fla., the very next day.

"He stole this experience from me," Elissa said. "It was really hard afterward. Since that day, we haven’t talked. That was it.... I dodged a bullet [with Miguel]. Now, I’m going to ask the harder questions sooner and not waste my time, especially because I’m 39. Like what are your values really? Are you a narcissist? Hopefully no. Next time, I’m going to find those red flags real quick."**

While Elissa and Miguel's engagement ended immediately, the other seven couples moved on to the next chapter of the show. Jordan and Amber, Alex and Ashley, Jessica and Chris, Bri and Connor, Emma and Mike, and Brittany and Devonta jetted off to Cabo San Lucas for their post-pod vacation. Meanwhile, Vic and Christine enjoyed their own private trip away from the drama of the other couples — and without producers watching over them — in Malibu, Calif.

"We just don't have the budget," Coelen explains about why Vic and Christine weren't sent to Mexico with everyone else. "We don't even have the budget to follow six [couples], but we stretch, and we figure it out. And so there's absolutely no way we could do it with seven."

Vic and Christine's trip was only documented with handheld selfie videos (again, due to budget reasons), but they will still be featured in future episodes as a main couple, filmed by producers, once they return home to Ohio.

"Part of what people do when they go to Mexico is they resolve unresolved threads," Coelen says. "That's part of the point of going to Mexico and seeing all the others, and Vic and Christine really didn't have any of those unresolved threads. So they were the ones that we picked to go on the trip by themselves."

*Love Is Blind* season 10 releases episodes 7-9 on Wednesday, Feb. 18, with episodes 10-11 the following week on Feb. 25, and the finale on March 4 on Netflix.
