Martha Stewart called out Meghan Markle, and her cooking show.
The lifestyle guru said her transition from actress to royal to TV personality doesn’t track.
The Duchess of Sussex launched With Love, Meghan in 2025, and plans to share seasonal episodes moving forward.
Martha Stewart will always speak her mind, whether she’s addressing a fan or a member of the British royal family.
The lifestyle mogul made a savage comment about Meghan Markle in a cover story for PEOPLE on Wednesday, calling out her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.
When asked how she feels about Prince Harry’s wife entering her domain, Stewart stated, “If you’re an actress, it’s hard to then transition to a princess and then from a princess into a homemaking guru on a television show. It doesn’t sort of follow. So go from there.”
The burn came after Stewart mentioned that she recently had dinner with former Suits star Meghan, shortly after the Duchess of Sussex returned from a trip to the U.K. with her family—including children Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5—to visit King Charles and Queen Camilla amid years of estrangement.
“We were both guests at a dinner party in California,” Stewart disclosed. “And she had just gotten back from the palace. I didn’t talk to her really more than to say a couple words, but I know she was talking about it.”
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to the Duchess of Sussex’s rep for a response.

Meghan and Harry had not been to the U.K. together since 2022, when they attended the funeral of his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II. The visit was also the first time Charles had seen his grandchildren in person in more than four years.
Buckingham Palace confirmed to the BBC on July 10 that Charles and Camilla had hosted the family at Highgrove House. The meeting was described as a “private family occasion.”
Meghan and Harry announced their decision to step down as senior members of the royal family on Jan. 8, 2020. They relocated to the U.S., settling in Montecito, Calif., and now focus on their media company, Archewell Productions, and charity work.

After releasing a tell-all docuseries, Harry & Meghan, about their love story and exit from the royal family in 2022, Netflix produced Meghan’s lifestyle show in 2025. It ran for two seasons and aired a holiday special, with a spokesperson for the Sussexes telling Variety in March that “With Love, Meghan will continue as seasonal specials.” It has not been renewed for a full season 3.
