The crew of the Chicago Police Department’s 21st District returns for season 14 on Oct. 7, 2026
Chicago P.D. follows the inner workings of police officers fighting crime while also dealing with their own personal lives
Although the series features several romances between characters, in reality, many of the stars have been with their real-life partners for years
The Chicago Police Department’s 21st District has seen it all, and just like their on-screen counterparts, much of the Chicago P.D. cast has had their own IRL love stories.
The One Chicago police procedural premiered on Jan. 8, 2014. For over a decade, the crew has fought crime in Chicago and brought dangerous perpetrators to justice, all while dealing with intra-unit turmoil and relationships, and that won’t change when season 14 premieres on NBC on Oct. 7, 2026.
One of those Chicago P.D. romances includes Patrick John Flueger’s Officer Adam Ruzek and Marina Squerciati’s Detective Kim Burgess. The characters married in season 12, and the actors have said “I do” to their respective partners in real life.
There’s also plenty of love amongst former cast members. After portraying the slow-burn connection between their characters, Detective Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and Detective Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos), the actors fueled dating rumors.
Here’s everything to know about the real-life loves of the Chicago P.D. cast.
