Put the lime in the coconut because the Owens sisters are officially back!
The trailer for *Practical Magic 2* has arrived and it proves Sally (Sandra Bullock) and Gillian (Nicole Kidman) are witchier than ever. The teaser features the sisters as it sets up a new tale of family, love, and heartbreaking curses.
"Everyone we love dies," Sally tells Lee Pace's new character as Gillian chimes in, "A really horrible death. It’s not great for the Tinder bio."
"Coconut" by Harry Nilsson plays as Maisie Williams and Joey King join in on the magic alongside original cast members Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing, who reprise their roles as eccentric aunts Bridget "Jet" and Frances Owens, respectively. Pace, Xolo Maridueña, and Solly McLeod also star.
According to press release shared with **, the sequel to the beloved 1998 fantasy film "returns to a world steeped in moonlit mischief and powerful ancestral magic, as the Owens sisters must confront the dark curse that threatens to unravel their family once and for all in a must-see cinematic event of fun, magic and mayhem."
The fantasy flick is set to release on Sept. 11, 2026.
Bullock and Kidman recently shared a first look at *Practical Magic 2** *during a special appearance at CinemaCon last week.
Kidman said Sally and Gillian are enjoying "midnight margaritas" and "jumpin' off the roof" of their iconic Massachusetts mansion, but it's not all fun and spells as their pasts are "catching up with us."
She continued: "We have our destinies, and we have the family."

While Gillian is still single and mom to a black cat, Sally has two daughters, played by Williams and King, though she's now single too.
"And if you know the original film, you can probably guess why," Bullock told the crowd.

Twenty-eight years ago,* Practical Magic* followed Sally and Gillian as they used their witch powers to fight the spirit of Gillian's abusive ex, Jimmy (Goran Visnjic), while police officer Gary Hallet (Aidan Quinn) grew suspicious. Although it only grossed $68 million on a $75 million budget, the film has gained a substantial following in the years since its release, thanks to persistent Halloween rewatches.
The sequel is being helmed by Susanne Bier, who collaborated with Kidman on the miniseries *The Perfect Couple* and directed Bullock in *Bird Box*.
Of her excitement to reunite with Kidman on screen, Bullock said at CinemaCon, "How often do you get to go and not remake but relive something that brought you so much happiness?"
