Penny Lancaster was visibly moved as she shared a heartfelt revelation about her rock-star husband, Rod Stewart.
The TV star, 55, was appearing on Davina McCall's Begin Again podcast, discussing the "disagreements" she experiences with her 81-year-old spouse, who has been married three times with eight kids, when she recalled one particularly touching moment in the car that brought her close to tears.
Penny said, "Rod and I, of course, like any couple, will have our disagreements. Sometimes he might say things to me that he might regret, or thinks, 'Oh, I could have chosen a better way of putting my message across.'" "I remember there was one time we were in the car and we were taking the boys to school, and it was just all rushing around like you do in the morning. We're in the car on the way, and we were disagreeing about something; the boys were in the back," she continued.
Penny said, "And Rod just said, 'Stop the car!' I stopped the car. He turned around to the boys in the back and he said, 'You need to listen to this. Mummy, I'm sorry.'

"He said, 'I shouldn't have spoken to your mother like that. We can have disagreements and we can say things that we don't really mean, but we never want to hurt that person really'."

"So you always say sorry. And that makes you the best man you can be," Penny urged. Followers flooded the comments section when the clip appeared on Instagram, with one person writing, "Best thing that happened to Rod was meeting Penny, she's a darling."
Someone else echoed, "I love Penny. She seems such a lovely person." A third user also chimed in, "Yep I totally agree, we are exactly the same - always say sorry!"
It comes just months after the music legend, 81, was performing in Salt Lake City on Saturday, June 20, when he appeared to struggle midway through the show, prompting staff to rush an oxygen tank to his side.

The worrying scenes came just a week after the star was forced to cancel a California concert at the last minute due to a respiratory infection that developed into laryngitis.
At the time, fans had already begun arriving at the venue when the show was canceled. However, less than 24 hours later, Stewart was spotted traveling by private jet to Boston with two of his sons to watch Scotland take on Haiti in the FIFA World Cup.
The trip sparked a furious backlash online, with some fans questioning how ill the singer really was. One disgruntled follower wrote in the comments section of his Instagram page, "This feels rather disingenuous, especially after your cancellation last night. Too ill to perform but okay to fly across the country for soccer?"
Despite concerns over his health, Stewart returned to the stage on Saturday night. But during the performance, he appeared to be in visible distress and was forced to signal to members of his team for assistance.
