The heat is always turned up on Fire Country, but in real life, much of the cast’s significant others help them keep their cool off-camera.

After an explosive season 4 finale, season 5 premieres on CBS on Oct. 9, with more action and drama at Edgewater’s Station 42. Original and longtime stars Max Thieriot, Kevin Alejandro, Jordan Calloway, Jules Latimer and Diane Farr are confirmed to return. However, for the first time since the show’s debut on Oct. 7, 2022, a new series regular is joining the cast: Olivia Thirlby.

Off-screen, the Fire Country cast’s love lives are less complicated. Thieriot and his wife, Lexi Murphy, have been together since they met on vacation as teenagers. Kevin tied the knot in February 2024, and Latimer got engaged in 2025.

Thieriot, creator and co-writer of Fire Country, told Collider in January 2023 that his wife helped inspire the show. He had hoped to “create this world and pitch it, and then have them make a show, best case scenario,” but as the ball got rolling, he revealed that multiple people “championed” him to star in it, including Murphy, who said, “Babe, you have to play the role.”

Thieriot plays Bode Leone (a.k.a. Bode Donovan), a young convict who returns to his California hometown after volunteering with the California Conservation Camp Program in hopes of shortening his prison sentence. In real life, he has been married to Murphy since June 1, 2013.

“Best weekend of my life,” Thieriot wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on June 3 following their Lake Tahoe nuptials. “Married the most beautiful and amazing woman in the entire world.”

Both Thieriot and Murphy were raised in Northern California — he in Occidental and she in Santa Rosa — but they met overseas at age 16, when both were on vacation with their families in the Caribbean.

“I’m not quite sure what she saw in me,” Thieriot joked on The Talk in May 2024. “I was like, full skater bod and had some bleached blonde hair back then ... I don’t know if she knew I was the one, but I knew she was the one.”

Since tying the knot, the pair have welcomed two sons: Beaux, born in December 2015, and Maximus, born in January 2018.

Kevin, who plays firefighter-turned-Battalion Chief Manny Perez on Fire Country, said “I do” to Leslie de Jesus Alejandro in May 2004. (Kevin celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary on Facebook in 2020.)

Leslie is best known for directing short films and music videos. However, in December 2024, she tried her hand at TV, directing a season 3 episode of Fire Country.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better first-time-directing-an-episodic experience,” she wrote on Instagram. “So many people to thank. But it all couldn’t have happened without the endless support of my love @kevinmalejandro. I love you, My Baby.”

For his part, Kevin hyped up the episode, calling it a “badass episode” on Instagram and sharing of Leslie, “‘You’re so cool!’ my love!!”

The couple share one child, son Kaden, born in February 2008.

Jules Latimer and Kat Cunning

Latimer, who plays firefighter and Bode’s childhood friend Eve Edwards, got engaged to actor, singer and dancer Kat Cunningin three proposals.

The pair announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post in January 2026, with Cunning reminiscing about their “very first date in New York,” which they had previously shared on Instagram was “a lunch date in Brooklyn the day after pride.”

“A three-course meal on the day we met, it left seeds in our teeth,” Cunning wrote in the caption of their announcement. “And we left wishing for a flosser, as much as we wished we had kissed … You sent me a picture of one when you got home. You showed me early that you could give me what I ask for, and teach me what I need.”

They then shared that Latimer first “said yes to me over Labor Day weekend” in 2025, and Cunning then said yes right back on a yacht three months later on Dec. 23.

Jordan Calloway and Stephanie Campo

Calloway plays Jake Crawford, the good-natured, protective Fire Captain. In real life, he’s committed to Stephanie Campo.

He announced their engagement on Instagram in September 2025, and the pair later tied the knot in the summer of 2026. Calloway confirmed their nuptials in an Instagram slideshow shared on July 30, writing in the caption: “A prayer answered.”

Calloway has praised Campo, often in biblical terms, including a post he shared on Instagram in April 2025 alongside a series of photos.

“My God you are the rarest 💎 of them all. Over time I came to realize the gift God gave me and for that I am eternally grateful. You picked up the pieces and patiently have been the chief architect in my rebuilding. You reminded me of where my value lies, you embody unconditional love, Proverbs 31 personified, the incarnation of Grace and Mercy.”

He continued, “It’s been a journey and you’ve stuck by my side - my missing rib. Us against the world.♥️ Promise to fiercely protect our Love. So to mi amor, Thank you and I Love You.”

Michael Trucco, who plays Bode’s uncle Luke Leon, has been married to former Swiss actress-model Sandra Hess since July 2009.

The pair first met in 1998 as series regulars on Pensacola: Wings of Gold, per the Toronto Star.

In honor of their 15th wedding anniversary in 2024, Hess shared on Instagram, “15 years ago today we said yes and it’s been the best decision of my life. Happy Anniversary my love, I’m so grateful to be on this adventure ride with you. To us, always and forever.”

Trucco also marked that anniversary on Instagram, and in March 2026, he again paid tribute to his “ride or die” for Hess’ birthday.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the most beautiful and perfect person in my life….my wife. I thank the universe everyday that I found someone like you, exactly like you,” he wrote on Instagram.
