Internet memes about the two being twins have circulated for years.
Snoop voiced a character in the animated film, while the Backstreet Boys recorded a song for it.
For years, the internet has insisted that Snoop Dogg and Backstreet Boys member Kevin Richardson look alike.
The musical men embraced one another Sunday as they attended the premiere of Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie at the Paramount Theatre on the studio’s lot.
And the boy band couldn’t resist making a joke about it.
“It finally happened… iykyk,” the official Backstreet Boys account shared on social media.
Fans were loving the meeting of the ‘90s icons, who must have missed one another in their appearances on awards shows or MTV’s TRL back in the day.
“Bout damn time!” and “after all this time” they wrote alongside laughing emojis.
People joked that they were “twins.” Someone wrote, “It’s good to know I’m not the only one who thought they look alike lmao!!! Omg!”
Richardson’s fellow boy bander, NSYNC’s Lance Bass, posted the clapping emoji.

It was noted that, of all things, the celebrities were brought together by a children’s movie.
The latest animated Paw Patrol adventure features Snoop Dogg (aka Calvin Broadus) as part of an all-star cast that includes Mckenna Grace, Jennifer Hudson, Jameela Jamil, Fortune Feimster, Terry Crews, and Paris Hilton.
The Backstreet Boys recorded a new song, “Bottle Up,” for the sequel to 2023’s Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie.

The rapper and actor voices Dave, just one of his many acting gigs over the years. He’s also loaned his voice to TV series and movies such as The Simpsons, The Cleveland Show, and 2019’s The Addams Family.

In their latest projects, Snoop is working on a biopic about his life that arrives in theaters Aug. 6, 2027. Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie hits the big screen much sooner: Aug. 14.
Richardson and the rest of his group — Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, and AJ McLean — are performing a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere through Aug. 29.
