The 41-year-old died on Wednesday, Dec. 17 after falling from the top of a building onto the roof of another building, according to the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner. The office ruled McKenzie-McHarg’s death as suicide from blunt traumatic injuries.
The U.S.-based freelancer had most recently covered professional tennis for Australian streamer Stan.

According to The Herald Sun, the Melbourne native's big break came when he was hired to contribute to Triple M’s Hot Breakfast in 2010 with Eddie McGuire. The legendary Australian presenter offered his condolences to McKenzie-McHarg’s family.
“That he turned his natural happy and kind disposition into a skill set that disarmed the world’s biggest stars and built his international career from scratch brought great admiration from his old mates,” McGuire said. “Our deepest condolences to Duncan’s family and friends. We are all so sad.”
The sportscaster’s family also shared a statement about his death, remembering him as determined, positive and “truly extraordinary.”
“His passing has come as an unimaginable shock, leaving our family heartbroken and at a loss,” the family said in a statement. “Duncan was truly extraordinary – a man whose positivity, care and humour touched everyone he met, and who sat at the heart of so many lives, bringing warmth, laughter and joy wherever he went. Our darling Ducky.”
