Terry Bradshaw's new memoir, Looking for Terry, will hit the shelves on Tuesday, Oct. 13 — the sixth book by the former Hall of Fame quarterback-turned-affable television personality.

Speaking with the Los Angeles Times this week, Bradshaw called the new memoir "soul-cleansing," and he further cleared the record on many of his life stories, including his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The longtime FOX NFL Sunday analyst famously never enjoyed a close relationship with Steelers coach Chuck Noll, Bradshaw's boss, throughout his 14-year career with Pittsburgh — he was almost traded directly after signing a new deal. Bradshaw reiterated how he found the Hall of Fame coach "insecure" in the interview.

“He wouldn’t build you up. I built up a wall," Bradshaw explained to the Los Angeles Times.

"You won’t get the best out of me if you’re nasty to me. My coach in college knew that. He built me up, and I flourished.

"I’d get to the stadium at 6 o’clock in the morning. I’d go down to the coach’s office to make coffee. Make it strong, because I like strong coffee. And he’d walk in, and it would just start snowing."

“I guess he was shy. His social skills were shy. Maybe he was insecure. I don’t know,” Bradshaw added.

Bradshaw (L) won four Super Bowls with Chuck Noll

The 78-year-old was a two-time Super Bowl MVP and four-time Super Bowl champion with Pittsburgh, winning the league's MVP honor in 1978.

Despite both his individual and team success under Noll, Bradshaw opted not to attend Noll's funeral in 2014 when the legendary coach passed away.

Bradshaw played for the Steelers from 1970-1983

"In all my 14 years of playing for him, he never shook my hand one time, 'Nice job, Terry.' I was walking out, going onto the field to play the Cleveland Browns," Bradshaw shared last year on the To the Point podcast. "And he stopped me, and he said, 'You mess up out there today, and I'll bench your ass in the first half.'"

Noll, who played for the Cleveland Browns from 1953 to 1959, first entered professional coaching with the Los Angeles Chargers in 1960.

He worked his way up to team defensive coordinator in 1962 before taking the same position with the Baltimore Colts in 1966.

Noll built a Super Bowl-level defense and was hired by Pittsburgh in 1969, where he coached until 1992. He led the team to four Super Bowl titles and was named as part of the NFL's 1970s and 1980s All-Decade teams.
