For Hawke and Harjo, bringing Jones into the series was an opportunity they couldn't pass up.

“We're just kind of going about who would be a great formidable figure in Lee Raybond's life and Tommy Lee popped up in our mind,” Harjo said in an interview in September.

Hawke continued, “I look forward to people seeing Tommy in the show because he doesn’t just make a cameo in the show; he’s giving a performance and it’s a great one.”

Tommy's return to the red carpet comes months after the death of his 34-year-old daughter, Victoria Jones, who was found dead in a San Francisco hotel room on New Year's Day.

The San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later determined that Victoria died from an accidental overdose caused by the “toxic effects of cocaine," per TMZ.

Victoria was Tommy's daughter with his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley, whom he married in 1981. The former couple, who divorced in 1996, also share a son, Austin, 43.

Following Victoria's death, Tommy and his family issued a brief statement expressing gratitude for the support they had received while asking for privacy.

“We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time,” they said.
