TV personality Anna Williamson has opened up about her most mortifying celebrity moment after nearly 10 years working as a celebrity dating expert.

On Wednesday, August 5, the Celebs Go Dating relationship guru joined Joe Marler's podcast, Joe Marler Will See You Now. The TV star shared how she accidentally splattered pea risotto all over King Charles' face at a Highgrove reception.

The former England rugby international asked, "What is your most embarrassing celebrity encounter?" prompting her to recount the cringe-inducing royal mishap. Williamson explained she'd been a long-time ambassador for the King's Trust, which led to her invitation to the high-profile event. She told listeners, "One of them that springs to mind involves our monarch, the King." This comes amid King Charles and Prince William's rift with Harry.

The presenter confessed that anxiety overwhelmed her when she met the monarch and overthought the proper protoco. The mom-of-two chuckled, "You can do a variety of things that are respectful, but I did all of them at one go: a curtsey, a bow, and a handshake. I then fell forward with the risotto, spat risotto in the King's face, curtseyed, but stumbled on the paving slab, fell into him, so he had to sort of push me back up again."

Despite the pandemonium, Williamson maintained the mood stayed surprisingly calm. She noted, "Everyone was quite chilled. Fortunately, there's one person who can take the p--- out of myself, and that's me."

The King stepped in to steady her, who was soon flanked by security, also lending a hand. She laughed, "He did himself offer to collect me and stand me back up again with security, but it was how I broke the ice with the King."

Marler simply responded with, "That was certainly a unique way of doing that." The broadcaster initially rose to prominence on TV during the 1990s as a children's television host.

She featured on CITV, Milkshake! and Nickelodeon before transitioning into mainstream broadcasting. Since then, she has established herself within the reality TV world as a relationship expert, perhaps most famously by helping star-struck celebrities navigate romance on Celebs Go Dating. Beyond her on-screen work, she is also a dedicated mental health advocate, utilizing her social media presence to shine a light on the issue.

It comes after it was revealed Charles has gone to "painstaking" lengths to make his marriage to Queen Camilla work. Catherine Mayer, author of Divide & Rule, said the monarch's friends told her there was a lot of pressure on their romance when they first went public.

She said Charles was reportedly willing to go to great lengths to solidify his relationship with his now-79-year-old wife, and it all started with revamping her royal image after she was labeled "the other woman."
